Five Different Ecosystems

Mimi’s is in the heart of the 9,000 acre U.N. Protected Biosphere Guanica Dry Forest. The forest is one of the last of its kind on earth; it is where the cactus meets the sea. Within it are five different ecosystems. There are more than 15 trails, totaling 36 miles for hiking, ranging from easy to expert, mountainous to coastal.

170 Species

For bird watchers there are 170 species including some that are very special endangered and endemic. A short hike from Mimi’s you will find a 600 year old Guayacan tree.

Secret Beaches

A fifteen minute hike brings you to one of Puerto Rico’s best kept secret white sand crystal blue water beaches. It's only accessed on foot or boat. There are 10 other beaches within a five minute drive including Cana Gorda with full facilities. There is also snorkeling along our 20 mile coral reef. For boaters, the neighborhood boat launch is one minute up the street.
